George Bush what do you think of him?
I voted for George Bush and I stand by my decision on doing so although I don't always agree with the way he handles everything. In light of the recent disaster in New Orleans I think possibly the government especially FEMA could have acted much quicker than they did. However, is it the president's fault that they didn't? When disaster happens stress occurs and I am sure that our president is feeling it. I do believe that Mr. Bush is a man of his word.
He may not always appear as the most intelligent person in light of public image, however for all of the decisions he must make on many fronts he must be given recognition for not losing his composure like some other public officials whom are looked to in this time of desperation.
For our country especially New Orleans and the rest of Louisiana, and those parts of Florida, Alabama and Mississippi devastated by Katrina I urge you to keep your prayers and if possible donations coming. Only working together can we get our brothers and sisters through this tragedy. I welcome your comments on everything I have said here.

So, a stressed-out, not-so-bright person is acceptable to you as leader of a country of 300 million people?
To paraphrase the late Nebraska U.S. Senator Roman Hruska:
"Even if he was mediocre, there are a lot of mediocre judges and people and lawyers. They are entitled to a little representation, aren't they, and a little chance? We can't have all Washingtons and Lincolns and Teddy Roosevelts and stuff like that there."
I'm not sure, at this stage, how you can defend that vote.
He spent his entire 2004 campaign assuring us that due to his never-ending focus on "security" that the Federal Government was better prepared than at any time in history to deal with catastrophic events. Better coordination, better communication, faster response.
If New Orleans doesn't expose the man as a brain-addled pathological liar, I'm not sure what would. How many more people have to suffer because our President cannot be bothered with due diligence?
I do have my doubts as to George's intelligence but as far as being a pathological liar I believe that Mr. Kerry would have more than fit this category. I believe Bush to be a man of his word although not always the best decision maker.
In the past election I feel that we had to choose between the least imperfect of two very imperfect candidates or not have a voice in who would be president.
