Gregory Gaines Memories

I picked up the local section of the Lincoln Journal Star and discovered in the obituary section the obituary of my old boss at Best Buy from 1997-2008. Gregory Gaines whom we all called Greg was the manager of the merchandising department at Best Buy during the time I worked there. Although I hadn't seen Greg in years he will not be forgotten.

Although there were times of disagreement Greg was overall a great guy in my opinion. His sense of humor and love for corny jokes will always be in my memory. If any of you are familiar with the alcoholic beverage a Grasshopper, then you will appreciate this joke he once told. "A grasshopper walked into a bar and asked the bartender for a drink. The bartender replied 'We've got a drink named after you.' The grasshopper replied 'You've got a drink named Floyd!"

Such humor was Greg's way of getting the day off to a good start. To all of Greg's family and close friends I am sure you will miss him greatly. May those good memories be often. Greg, may you rest in peace.
