The aristocracy has spoken

Here is more of my commentary on how things are being handled concerning the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the plight of it's New Orleans survivors.

 

At the Astrodome in Houston while making the rounds with her husband ex-president Bush, Barbara Bush our current presidents mother showed some of her true colors.Okay, although George Bush has often put his foot in his mouth and said stuff that either meant the opposite of what he meant to say or was just plain gibberish his mother Barbara Bush showed her true colors of being an aristocrat. While her husband ex president George H.W. Bush and ex president Bill Clinton received smiles, hugs and accolades Barbara received criticism for her statement: "And so many of the people in the arena here, you know, were underprivileged anyway, so this is working very well for them."

So is Barbara Bush saying that since the refugees housed in the Astrodome are poor that they don't deserve more than being housed there? Squallor to squallor?  It is possible she was meaning it differently but one should say what they mean.

 

Hello!!! These people are separated from loved ones, possessions and keepsakes, family pets that mean as much to them as family and you Mrs. Bush senior make such a statement as the one in this post. I think that an explanation and or an apology are in order. But then again maybe you'd stick your foot in your mouth. Shame on you.
